Gareth Davies-Jones: Christmas Acoustic Tour 2025
We welcome acclaimed singer-songwriter Gareth Davies-Jones back to St Nick's for his Christmas acoustic tour 2025. Gareth brings a refreshing new perspective to Christmas favourites - some with the traditional melodies, and some with new. Gareth weaves stories between the songs telling of how some well-known carols came to be written. It will be a very special night to get us ready for the season.

Christingle Service
This much-loved service will be at church, starting with making your own Christingle, and then learning what all the parts mean, and then we all get to light them. There will be a collection taken at the service for the work of the Children's Society.

Tuesday Dec 16th at the Foresters Arms, Beckside
Carols at the Inn
Join us for an informal carol-sing in the friendly surroundings of the Foresters Arms. We'll sing all the favourites and carol sheets will be provided. There will definitely be room at the inn on this occasion!

Messy Church including Crib Service
This is going to be great!
Messy Church is hosting the Crib Service in a brilliant combination of telling the Christmas story and making some fabulous seasonal crafts, finishing with lunch as usual.

21st December 10 am Folk Carols with Holy Communion in Church
A regular feature of our Christmas programme is our Folk carol service. This takes place in our main 10am service slot on the Sunday before Christmas - this year Sunday 21 Dec, at 10am. Folk arrangements of carols - and sometimes folk tunes, with an enlarged folk band. It is a communion service, but please feel free to come and enjoy the music and take part as much as you feel able.
24th December 11.30 pm Midnight Holy Communion in Church
The traditional start to Christmas.
We see in Christmas Day as the service unfolds. Join us for this very atmospheric and special way to start Christmas Day
25th December 10 am Christmas Holy Communion in Church
Start the big day with us at a family-friendly, simple celebration of Holy Communion for Christmas. Everyone is welcome to come along and take part in as much as you feel able. Bring along a present to show us, or be ready to tell us what surprises you found in your Christmas stocking!
